SMOKE & THERMAL DETECTORS

GUARANTEED QUALITY AT UNBEATABLE PRICES!

Fire is one of the most common and most devastating hazards a home or business can experience. With BSM security, you can rely on 24 hour alarm monitoring of your premises against this hazard through system smoke and thermal detectors. Upon receipt of a signal, we can then notify both you and the fire brigade to eliminate or minimise the effects fire can have on your property.

SMOKE DETECTORS

Unlike battery powered detectors available in hardware stores, hardwired smoke detectors use a more advanced analytical system to detect invisible or visible smoke particles in the area in which they are located. These detectors are also monitored to ensure effective operation, so you never have to worry about failure.

BSM security offers two types of system smoke detectors. An ionisation detector reacts to gases produced in the early stages of combustion. Secondly, a beam detector can be used to cover large areas that will signal when smoke obscures the light beam transmission to the receiver. BSM security smoke detectors are highly effective at detective and signalling smoke at its earliest production.

THERMAL/ RATE OF RISE DETECTORS

These detectors will create an alarm condition when the area reaches a predetermined temperature. Two types of thermal / rate of rise detectors are available : fixed temperature detectors measure the surrounding air temperature, and rate-of-rise detectors monitor changes in temperature. Thermal detectors have been proven successful in assisting in the early detection of fires which in turn helps to minimise or eliminate damage and/or loss.

MAINTENANCE

The servicing and maintenance of your smoke or thermal alarms is extremely imperative to the continued functionality of the hardware.

As per Australia Standards for intruder alarms, we recommend servicing your smoke alarms during your yearly alarm Routine Preventative Maintenance call out. Smoke detectors are generally replaced every five years from the manufacture date.
