DIALLER ALARM MONITORING

Dialler alarm monitoring is the standard level of monitoring. It uses a fixed telephone line to communicate with our control centre. Service can only be disrupted if phone lines are cut.

Although this solution is ideal for homes, small businesses or offices where no cash or valuables are kept on site, we highly recommend utilising dual path or GPRS Unit monitoring for ultimate protection.

3G GPRS UNIT MONITORING

The latest technology in wireless alarm monitoring is the 3G GPRS Unit.

A 3G GPRS unit is provided with two sim cards from alternative providers which means if one sim card fails, the other kicks in and keeps you monitored!

No phone lines are used and the best part is that there is no additional fee for the sim cards; just the one monitoring charge!

DUAL PATH MONITORING

Dual path monitoring is where two mediums are used to communicate an alarm signal to the control center.

The common understanding of dual path monitoring is where the standard dialler phone line plus a wireless options of GPRS or VOIP monitoring are utilized as communication pathways to our monitoring center. The benefit is that your alarm monitoring will continue even if one means of communication fails or is tampered with.

ALARM WITH VIDEO VERIFICATION

Our Alarm with Video verification service utilizes two types of security: alarm and CCTV.

Utilizing this service means that in the event of an alarm activation, our monitoring center will have the ability to visually check your site (using CCTV remote access) prior to executing your response plan.

Clients currently utilizing this service include shopping centers, construction sites and factories.

MONITORING BACK- UP CENTER

In an event where our monitoring center is in total failure, there is a procedure in place where all monitored lines are diverted to an external monitoring center.

This means your site is always covered even in the event of an emergency at the BSM Security monitoring center.

In the case of an alarm activation, the following procedure must be performed:

Check CCTV footage (if applicable); in the case of a site issue proceed below
Call the main site number; if no answer proceed to step 3
Call contacts in order; if no answer proceed to step 4
Dispatch a patrol officer to check and secure site
